Available independently or as part of our new AI vehicle CCTV platform, the easily-installed solution accurately records boarding and alighting data, enabling public transport operators to determine optimum vehicle scheduling based on passenger load.
Our passenger counting solution accurately monitors passenger boarding and disembarking locations and times allowing companies to swiftly adapt to demand.
VERIFY CAPACITY AND ADAPT FLEET
The APC system can be connected to a mobile DVR allowing for further analysis and the creation of action points in real-time. By analysing transit use patterns and linking boarding and alighting data with stop or station location, companies can optimally adapt vehicle types to meet actual demand. Are double-decker buses necessary? Do we need to increase the deployment of train units on specific lines?
CLASSIFY OBJECTS
The APC system can accurately differentiate between passengers and other transportation-related objects.
Thanks to advanced AI technology based on the time-of-flight (TOF) principle, the solution can accurately distinguish between wheelchairs, bicycles, strollers, backpacks, and dogs to name a few. This enables more reliable determination of passenger numbers as well as space required in the vehicle.
OPTIMISE ROUTES
By analysing both historical and real-time data, vehicle transit operators can optimise vehicle frequency and routes in a timely manner. Passenger numbers on each vehicle can be aggregated easily, assisting companies to recognise demand and adapt at network level.
OPTIMISE VEHICLE USAGE
Long-term passenger counting allows for better analysis of passenger flows. Over time, fleet operators can easily and quickly adapt vehicle frequency throughout the network to increase efficiencies and fulfil demand.
QUICKLY GAIN INSIGHTS INTO WHEN AND WHERE YOUR BUSIEST TIMES ARE, PLAN AHEAD, AND INCREASE CUSTOMER LOYALTY.
3D SENSOR TECHNOLOGY
Our state-of-the-art passenger counting sensors utilise enhanced 3D image processing algorithms to accurately determine customer flows.
CONSISTENCY IN DELIVERY
The new generation sensors accurately recognise objects’ movements even in crowded situations and in extreme lighting conditions.
Consistently achieving up to 99% accuracy, the sensors overcome errors such as shadowing or the counting of U-turns and standing people.
VIDEO RECORDING AND STREAMING
The automatic recording of video allows companies to revisit events.
OCCUPANCY ANALYTICS PLATFORM
Our full analytics platform backed by powerful date logging capabilities will help analyse trends and optimise your fleet.
TIME-OF-FLIGHT PRINCIPLE
The time-of-flight principle measures the propagation time between the emission and reception of infrared light. The sensors emit such light, which is then reflected back by objects in its field of vision.
3D IMAGES
Thanks to this technology, the sensors provide 3D images in real-time, identifying different objects by shape and dimension. Relying on infrared technology rather than cameras. All passengers’ privacy is fully protected in line with GDPR.
INFRARED LIGHTING
Infrared technology is not affected by environmental conditions. Irrespective of lighting conditions or humidity levels in the vehicle, the technology will reliably and accurately measure the number of passengers entering or exiting the vehicle.
Our APC system is easy to install and can be adapted for stairs and ramps. Maintenance and update configurations can be done remotely eliminating the need for costly manual interventions.
Our Passenger counting systems can work independently as a standalone or be integrated with our new AI vehicle CCTV platform.
The sensors are unaffected by lighting or weather conditions as well as overcrowding.
Thanks to the technology used, sensors cover the entire door’s width and eliminate errors such as overshadowing, or the counting of U-turns and standing people.
